A Poem for Saint Nicholas

Have you been bad or good, nice, and sweet?

Saint Nicholas is coming with Rubrecht by his feet.

Saint Nicholas is filling shoes left and right,

While the bad children Rubrecht might bite.

So this year be good and cause no one pain,

Or you will find yourself wearing Rubrecht’s chain.
