Maennerchor Hall photograph, 1972The new Maennerchor Hall, designed by Adolf Scherrer and completed in 1907, included a 1,400-seat auditorium, a dining hall, rehearsal and reading rooms, a musical library, a billiard room, and a summer roof garden. U.S. Vice President Charles W. Fairbanks was the principal speaker at the hall's dedication ceremony. Much of the funding for the Maennerchor Hall came from John P. Frenzel, but the trust he left for its continuation was broken legally, and the Maennerchor lost the building after World War I.
