Musikverein orchestra photograph, 1903

When the Musikverein was started in 1897, Alexander Ernestinoff left the directorship of the Indianapolis Maennerchor to become the director of the new society. Ernestinoff had also previously served as the director of the Indianapolis Liederkranz and the Lyra musical society. This photograph shows Ernestinoff with the Musikverein orchestra.
