National Turnfest Parade photograph, 1905One of the highlights of the 29th National Turnfest, held in Indianapolis in June 1905, was a large parade through downtown Indianapolis. Floats, bands, and groups from Turner societies nationwide participated. This photograph shows the parade as it moves west along Washington Street. The tower of the Marion County Courthouse is visible in the right background; directly in front of it is the sign for the Vonnegut Hardware Company.
