National Turnfest souvenir book, 1906

In June of 1905, the Socialer Turnverein and the South Side Turnverein joined together to host the 29th National Turnfest, a quadrennial sports competition among teams from Turnvereins across the United States. The 29th Turnfest even included one team from Germany. Athletic events took place at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, and a parade was held in downtown Indianapolis. This souvenir book contains photographs of and information about the Turnfest.
