IU Indianapolis Image Collection

IU Indianapolis University Archives, part of IU Indianapolis Special Collections and Archives, holds over one million photographs, negatives, and digital images. Starting around the turn of the twentieth century, campus photographers and hired free-lance photographers photographed university events, places, students, staff, and faculty. Sporting events are well represented. Indianapolis scenes are also plentiful in IUI Image Collection.

Archives staff continually receive more photos and add images, both old and new, to IU Indianapolis Image Collection. The online Collection represents only a fraction of our total image holdings. If you cannot find what you are looking for online, it does not mean that we do not have photos of the person, place, or event. If you are looking for university images or have photos to donate, please contact us at speccoll@iu.edu.
