Liz brings to this position experience in college instruction and course design, a grounding in critical and composition pedagogies, and an applied and theoretical interest in learning outside the classroom.
She has worked as a supervisor in Access Services at University Library since 2017, and in that time has published and presented on library student employment in a range of venues, including at the ACRL 2021 Virtual Conference. She also serves on the advisory board of the Indiana Academic Library Association.
Liz was a first-generation college student, and has a PhD in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a master’s degree in Women’s Studies from the University of Oxford (UK), and a BA in Modern History and English, also from Oxford. Her academic background informs her commitment to a more equitable and socially just vision of higher education.
Having done much of her growing up in the west of England, Liz is an enthusiastic follower of English club rugby; she generally prefers to be outdoors, hiking, camping, and paying attention to the small things.
