Streaming Videos
The library has access to over 100,000 streaming video titles from several collections. Available films include documentaries, discipline-specific content and the Criterion film collection. The largest collection is Academic Video Online (AVON) which has over 80,000 titles. Other video collections can be found in our Streaming Video Database List. In addition, all accessible videos have records in IUCAT.
Faculty Films On Demand
If a film is not currently available, the University Library will accept requests for streaming videos from faculty or instructors. To be eligible, a streaming video must be required viewing for all enrolled students as part of a class syllabus. Because of the cost, there is a limit of 3 streaming videos per class. A typical annual license can range in price from $125 to $300. Request from students will not be accepted.
To request a streaming video, please see the Purchase Request form [IU Login Required].
